Gratefulness Project - Neighborly Coffee

As some of you may know, I hired a very talented and up and coming video-graph-er, Noah Frasier, to create a commercial for my Home Style Kit. What is a Home Style Kit? It's just that, a professionally curated design for you to DIY and execute on your own, saving you time, money and stress in your home makeover project. You can learn more here, and you can view the amazing commercial there as well! ...

But the whole point of the intro is that we needed a location to film the "room's" makeover and process for the commercial. And as fate would have it, it was perfect timing for a new coffee shop on the Mariners Church San Juan Capistrano's campus as well. They needed professional design help in executing their vision and I needed a location for my commercial. It was a win - win!

I am so grateful to have this line up for my commercial, and I am grateful to be a part of creating a space that people will be drawn to gather and grow friendships in. I would have to say I am very proud of the result with our limited budget. It is true - the more you give the more you receive, and this project is just one example of this. I've gained a new friend, a commercial, a project in my portfolio, and satisfaction that my client is happy with the outcome and it's a space she is proud of to host people to share her passion of coffee.

So go check it out! See them on Instagram @neighborly.coffee

This is my favorite space...The rug is my source Surya. The sofa, coffee table,  end table and wall sconces are Wayfair. Chairs are Target. Hanging plants are Green Thumb nursery and black iron wall mounts are from Denault's Hardware. Succulent arrangements I made by hand. The pillows I made by hand. The white signs collage are hand painted by me, and are temporary for the Christmas season.

White subway tile and white quartz counter with the natural wood base gives this space the exact light and bright modern feel we were aiming to achieve. The Christmas garland is a beautiful holiday touch.

A farm style sugar station is suitable for this Historic Farm house. The new use of the Historic House is pretty cool! These floating shelves are awesome! And the reclaimed wood floating shelves are from Wayfair.

Reclaimed wood floating shelves with metal bars are perfect for displaying coffee for sale and this by far is my favorite wall treatment in the space.

Modern black iron cafe tables and white farm chairs are a perfect mix of the styles at play in the space. It was fitting to have historic pictures of San Juan Capistrano to keep in authenticity and history of this re-purposed historic home. All succulent arrangements made by me. The tables are from Starbucks charity, and farm chairs are from private owner. The ceiling light in the far room is from Wayfair and the chandelier in this room is from Lowes.

This space looks lovely in the current style as well as this Black and white farm. The light in this space is so glorious! This is a shot from the day we did the commercial shoot on this location. See Noah's hands?

Furniture in this room is from Urbanism Costa Mesa. The accessories are from Ethan Allen Tustin, thanks to my friend Goff Christian. The light is the old light that we cut out in the shoot. (it's not good :) )

I made this lovely custom wall decor with an ikea gold wire frame and spray painted it black. Added old dead branches and air plants. I printed out some historic pictures of San Juan Capistrano and clipped them up. The branches and clipped up with included clips.
